Everyone has fears. It’s unavoidable.

Fear is apart of who we are as much as excitement.

Throughout our lives our fears change.

Our fears change because as we push ourselves through one fear, we find another blocking our path to where we want to go.

The surprising thing is that once we work through a fear we wonder why we were so afraid. Because looking back we realize it wasn’t that big of a deal.

It’s like looking down the hill when you are skiing. Thinking that is too steep to ski down. Yet you go anyways. You trust your skills and develop them at the same time as you go down. At the bottom looking back you realize it wasn’t that big of a deal. It looks nowhere near as steep as it did at the top.

Not all fears are like that. Some are permanently fears that make us who we are. You can be afraid of heights, snakes, spiders, swimming in open water for your whole life. That is alright.

What is not alright our the fears that you know are holding you back from your destination. Those are the fears to chase. Not the perpetual ones that protect us.
