Last week was a monumental week for our partners, Lime, a tech mobility company with headquarters in San Francisco. The Reno City Council voted (5–1) in favor to extend the pilot for an additional year.

With a one year renewal of the current pilot contract with the City of Reno, we can continue to elevate the cause of moving people around their cities in an affordable and convenient way while eliminating their carbon footprint. They are dedicated to providing sustainable first and last-mile transportation. This next phase of our partnership includes possible expansion into other modes of last-mile transportation (including e-bikes and scooters).

Since January of 2017, Lime has focused on providing a new approach to urban mobility to:
- help reduce social inequity
- alleviate congestion
- move away from the carbon-intensive transportation model of the 20th Century.

The City of Reno has partnered with the company since January 2018 to stand out as a leader in transportation and community efforts. Since the start of our partnership with the company in 2017 — we have seen this community embrace the bikes (and scooters) in ways we couldn’t even initially imagined — including a featured song in the iconic Reno Sheep Dip roast event.

That all being said, we are most excited for Lime’s initiatives and dedication to service all demographics within the regions they have contracts in.

From that initial exclusive contract agreement, to the current stage of this partnership, we are proud to have supported the economic, and environmental initiatives that Lime has pioneered in the mobility space.
