Kai is a designer, entrepreneur and investor. His product creations have pushed him to the forefront of modern design.
Currently, Kai is a principal designer at AngelList where he worked across the suite of fundraising, talent and Product Hunt products. Before AngelList, Kai was the co-founder of Cheers, a mobile social app that pivoted to Flipagram and later got acquired by Toutiao. Before Cheers, Kai was a senior designer at Google. There he led the design for Google Desktop, Toolbar and GDrive.
After earning an engineering and design degree in Germany, Kai moved to the U.S. where he worked with Kai Krause at MetaTools. He co-designed celebrated products such as Kai’s Power Tools, Power Show and Soap. At MetaTools, Kai was in charge of new interface concepts for the original iMac and the LEGO Mindstorms set in cooperation with Apple and LEGO.
Kai lives in San Francisco. He enjoys riding his motorcycle, capturing time-lapse photography and exploring new countries.
