Why You Should Document Your Life Using Clipter

Not long ago, you had 27 chances to take the best photo on a roll of camera film, and then had to wait weeks to see how that photo turned out. Nowadays it’s easy to pull your phone from your pocket or purse and capture as many photos or videos that you want. It’s become so simple that we’ve become mentally programmed to document memorable events using our cell phone. From Facebook posts to Instagram pictures, you can now capture and share your moments with people easier than ever before.

The sole reason I document almost everything I do is so that one day my kids, grandkids, and even myself can look back at what I was up to 50 years ago. I’ve had the privilege of my mother taking thousands of photos while growing up and putting them into a scrapbook for my brothers and I to reflect back on our lives. For me now, Clipter, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram have become my “Scrapbook”. I use all these platforms for different, but specific reasons.

Facebook, to communicate with friends and post important things from my life.

Twitter, to share articles, thoughts, and interests.

Instagram, to visually show single moments from my day-to-day life.

And now, Clipter, to visually capture stories with the people I know best, and have a video stitched together that shows an entire experience from my life.

Every second of our lives are adding to our long, but magnificent story that makes us who we are. The daily interactions we have with other people help evolve our story, and all of these should be documented in one way or another. For me, these stories are now being documented and shared on Clipter.
