Why Edge Computing is Essential

Edge computing is the processing of data at the edge of a network to reduce latency and reduce demands on cloud computing and data center resources. Edge computing occurs in smart devices where sensors and other instruments collect and process data to speed up processing before devices connect to the Internet of Things (IoT) and send data for further use by enterprise applications and people.
