Data migration has always been a challenging task for enterprises because of the sheer size of their data and the complexity.

At CloudFuze, we help enterprises migrate data between cloud office suites and enterprise cloud storage platforms quickly and securely. The following is the process we follow.

. Project Discovery
. Customer Onboarding Meeting
. Project Roadmap
1. Business Requirements
2. Technical Requirements
. Migration Plan

Project Discovery

During the consultation phase, the migration team from CloudFuze discusses with the customer and understands more about their Cloud account. The team attempts to understand more about the customer’s current businesses and technical process.

Customer Onboarding Meeting

This will be the first interaction between CloudFuze’s migration team and the client’s IT team. Our team attempts to know more about your cloud account in this call. They also guide our customers on what benefits they are entitled to and how to maximize customer experience.

Project Roadmap

In addition to the customer success team, top executives from both companies attend this meeting to devise a project roadmap. It takes several meetings to finalize a migration strategy based on customers’ inputs and needs.

If requested, CloudFuze can also set up meetings with end-users (key stakeholders) and analyze how their function or team is using the cloud.

During this meeting, CloudFuze does extensive requirements elicitation and gathers the following from the IT team as well as the end-users.

Business Requirements:

• Total data size in the company’s account

• Total owned data vs. total shared data

• List of group ownership and group membership

• Usage of share links

• External collaborators list

• External app integrations used in the account

• Cloud workflow usage

• Version history needs

  • Additional metadata that needs to be retained

Technical Requirements:

• User to user migration

• Migration of specific folder(s) as opposed to entire user migration

• Migration of multiple users’ data to a single user

• CSV/Manual migration of data between different source and destination users

• Root folder permissions migration

• Sub-folder permissions migration

• File-sharing permissions

• Shared links migration

• Orphan folders migration

  • File versioning migration

Migration Plan

CloudFuze comes up with an actionable migration plan with clearly defined goals and timelines. Approval from the customer marks the end of the discovery phase.
