Today, CloudSploit is excited to share that our cloud security auditing solution is now publicly available for Microsoft Azure IaaS accounts. This release includes all the hallmarks of CloudSploit’s existing service for Amazon Web Services: an open source core scanning engine, PCI and HIPAA compliance program mappings, detailed security reports including recommended remediation information, links to official Azure documentation, and full support for all 42 Azure regions.

Since 2015, CloudSploit has been a leading open source security auditing service for Amazon Web Services IaaS accounts. Although we initially focused on AWS, our open source community and customer base frequently asked about our coverage of Microsoft Azure. Azure’s accelerating growth, combined with multi-cloud strategies that many organizations are now pursuing, has led to strong demand for a robust security auditing service based on an open source core scanning engine.

Over the past several months, our community has helped to test over 120 new plugins for numerous Azure services including Storage Accounts, Table Service, Queue Service, VMs, Networking, Security Center, MySQL and PostgreSQL Databases, Kubernetes Service, and many others. As with our existing AWS solution, CloudSploit will continue to release new plugins and updates for existing plugins as new Azure services and regions are released.

You can get started with CloudSploit for Azure today using our open source repository or by signing up and connecting an Azure account to CloudSploit using our onboarding wizard. CloudSploit will audit your account continually in the background, working to detect potential misconfigurations and other risks that could lead to compromised infrastructure and loss of application and user data. If you have any questions about CloudSploit’s Azure support, please contact our support team: support@cloudsploit.com.
