Activating your Account & Accepting the Benefit

When you’ve been nominated for an EA Sponsored account, you will receive an email with an activation link. From there, you’ll be prompted to login to the Microsoft Azure Sponsorship site to accept the Terms & Conditions.

When the Approver approves the sponsorship, a “terms and conditions” email is automatically sent to the Customer.

Customer will need to click Sign In to get to the T&C page so we know who they are.

Account Access and Management

Access your Sponsorship Details

Now that you are logged in and registered, let’s take a look at your account. you can manage your subscriptions and profile info at Microsoft Azure Sponsorships | Welcome

After you have chosen the subscriptions that you want to be part of the EA Sponsorship click on the “Save” button.

You will now see the updated details of the subscriptions.

Update the Service Administrator

The Account Owner will be the default Service Administrator on new subscriptions. You have the ability too update the Service Administrator to any others eligible ID from the edit Subscription Details screen as well.

Role-Based Access Controls

You can review and edit who has access to a resource, resource group, or subscription from its main blade in the Azure Portal. Just visit your dashboard at portal.azure.com. Select a subscription and Access Control to get started.

Adding a Co-Administrator to a Subscription

Only an Owner can be added as a Co-administrator. Other users with roles such as Contributor and Reader cannot be added as Co administrators.+ Right click an Owner name, and then select Add as co-administrator .

Select the portal button at the top of your screen or navigate directly to the Azure Management Portal at portal.azure.com

After creating a new subscription, and updating the subscription details, you can begin deploying by selecting the + NEW button at the bottom left of the page then selecting the service type you want to configure.

Sponsorship Usage & Reporting

Usage Dashboard

You will see your EA Sponsorship Billing related details at www.microsoftazuresponsorships.com (note: you will only see billing information for EA Sponsorship subs all other billing will show in ea.azure.com)

Notifications — Usage and time Based

  • You will receive a usage based notification at 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90% and 95% of your sponsorship amount.
  • You will receive time based notifications at T 30, T 14, T 7, and T 1 days from the end date of your sponsorship, assuming you have not already depleted your usage cap.

Notifications Monthly Summary

  • Once the month closes, you will receive an email by the 10th of the following month that shows the summary of your prior month’s usage and remaining sponsorship amount.

Extensions and Renewals

  • Please contact your Microsoft representative if you need an extension on CAP or expiration date.
