This week we spoke to #CollectiveFam Bolter Design to find out about their collaboration with MicroMkt…

“It all started with small tasks… Our initial task was doing a flyer. MicroMkt work with independent makers and creatives, and obviously consumers who are going to buy this. They went to a fair in Brixton and they wanted to get a number of independent makers to sell their produce on their platform, and they were also advertising for the consumer to look at their platform for similar kinds of home ware, so we started off with helping them make that flyer. Then we went on to offer some design consultancy and marketing materials. Being in the same Collective building is for sure the main reason we have been able to collaborate. When you work in the service industry, often it’s not about who’s the best it’s about who’s the easiest and Collective is home to such a range of people from different backgrounds; designers, marketers, coders so it’s great that all these people are under one roof. We’ve been able to utilise other expertise within the building and take on work for fellow members. Peer support and a growing network of freelancers in the building has been so important to the growth of Bolter Design.” — Alice Best, Bolter Design
