Samsung unveils the Galaxy Note 8.

And let’s hope it doesn’t catch on fire! The South Korean tech giant is trying to get the Note smartphone back on its feet after the last model was discontinued for bursting into flames. What can you expect from the Galaxy Note 8? No physical home button and a fingerprint scanner. You can pick up the phone for $929.99 starting from September 15.

Walmart joins forces with Google to take on Amazon. 🛍

Can’t find the time to stop by your local Walmart? Don’t worry, you’ll soon be able to order products through Google Assistant after Walmart and Google struck a new partnership. In September, shoppers on Google Express will be able to go voice shopping using Android phones, Google Home and iPhone through the Google Assistant app — a challenge to Amazon’s Alexa.

Apple invests $1.3 billion in Iowa. 📱

America’s heartland is getting a big boost after Apple announced plans to build a data center in Waukee, Iowa. The $1.3 billion facility will help drive the App Store and plans to take on around 50 workers. Construction kicks off next year, joining existing data centers in California, Oregon, Nevada and North Carolina. It will run entirely on renewable energy.

Happy birthday! The Twitter # turned 10. 🎉

This week, the Twitter # celebrated its 10th birthday. It was first used back in 2007 by designer Chris Messina who asked on Twitter: “how do you feel about using # (pound) for groups. As in #barcamp [msg]?”

Bonus: Elon Musk reveals a swanky spacesuit. 🌎

And it’s the real deal. One day, astronauts on board SpaceX’s Crew Dragon will be wearing this spacesuit in their space travels. Check it out below.
