FROM IDEAS TO IMPACTFUL ACTION TIP #4 MANAGE YOUR ENERGY

The problem with time management is that time is a finite resource. We all have the same 24 hours within the day. A lot of productivity gurus emphasize in making use not only of your time but more so of your energy.

Energy management is an entirely different ballgame! We can’t make impactful ideas happen when we don’t have energy.

Energy is defined as your capacity to work coming in from four different wellsprings- the body, emotions, mind and spirit. It’s. up to us to systematically think and plan for ways to expand and renew our energy.

How? Here are three tips:

Incorporate rituals and daily habits- how does your morning routine look like? Mornings are sacred so how are you making the most of it?

What behaviors can you automize or create a system for? This can help you save up on energy. Behaviors like choosing clothes, meals, order of the day. These can be parts of your rituals or daily habits.

Understand your zone of engagement- when are you the most productive and in flow? When are you less engaged? Find out how your energy flows within the day and plan your activities around this schedule.

Take power naps. Incorporate periods of energy renewal within the day. Naps are a great way to revigorate one’s energy. Perhaps you can also figure out other ways that helps you amp up your energy.

Which strategy are you going to try? Share in the comments below!
