Day 6 — A Blank Sheet Can Be Inspiring

Welcome to The Journey of My First Book, a series of stories documenting the publication process of my first book.

Morning. Today I have less time available for writing, therefore I decided to start early and give myself a couple of extra hours. I don’t feel particularly inspired or eager, but I expected some days will start (and continue) like this. Nevertheless, I persevere.
I keep a vivid image of the reader in mind and continue to write because I want to serve them. I know this book will be very valuable for coaches, but only if it sees the light of day. Otherwise, it only has the potential to be valuable, but that potential will forever remain unrealised.
I feel the need to work on a different chapter today, even though the previous one isn’t finished. I’ll go with my gut and follow that feeling, who knows where it will take me? Maybe starting something ‘new’ will boost my mood and invite the muse to visit again. Let’s hope so.
Evening. Not a groundbreaking day, that’s for sure. I’ve most likely written more than 2,000 words but ended up with 1,080 after deleting large chunks of text that were previously there. That seems to be a trend, even…
