Dear Younger Self,

I write to provide guidance, support, love, strength and perspective as you navigate this precious journey called life. You will come to realize that there is truly no precise map or GPS navigation system to travel the infrastructure of life’s transportation system.

Think about it…when we put our notions of fortune, happiness, fame and success aside and get to the core of humanity…it all seems like this constant search and discovery to feel accepted, loved, respected and appreciated.

However, as you will come to experience very soon, we as “wired, baggage carrying human beings” tend to make our one and only opportunity at life more complicated than it needs to be; in the process distracting us from living our most authentic and best lives today filled with intent, meaning and purpose.

I will keep this letter as short as possible because I know you have many devices, applications and tasks battling for your attention. But I want to talk to you about love.

I know…I know…you might be saying,

Love…How do you plan to speak to me about love so quickly? Some people go a whole lifetime fighting this notion of love and shielding themselves from giving and receiving it.

My response…you are absolutely correct. But that does not have to be you. If you take a deep breath, let down your defensive mechanism armor and shift your focus and energy back to this present moment while opening your ears, eyes, heart and mind…just maybe your most divine inner self will be activated and awakened.

So here it is…

You have been indoctrinated with strategically packaged and mass distributed images of love. You have also felt different levels of love ever since being born. All these various experiences of love have not always felt good or been good for you.

Many of the narratives that have penetrated your soul and contaminated your beliefs never truly engaged, recognized and empowered the most important kind of love: Self-Love.

Before I go any further I want to provide this truth…YOU are ENOUGH. Yes, YOU. You always have been. But you will lose sight of who you are at times because the external world will relentlessly attempt each day you are alive to sell and tell you what you should or should not be.

My focus is you though. Silence the outer chatter. But more importantly, silence the inner dialogue in your mind, that tells you that you are inadequate. Lies cannot flourish and spread throughout your body when you do not give them power. It is not so much about learning how to love yourself. But unlearning all the ways you reject yourself.

This is your life. And you can do what you want with it. With 86,400 seconds of unique opportunity every day, you are able to change the trajectory of your life, the moment you take full accountability for the life you envision and want to create.

So what are you waiting for? Life is too short, not to go for it. The perfect moment is not coming, so start living immediately…

The greatest gift you will be able to bestow back to this chaotic yet still beautiful world is by embracing and celebrating all of who you are. Your story has immense value and is already a masterpiece. Trying to be anyone else is a waste of a divine and impeccable creation.

As you navigate on your journey, realize deeply that on this road of life, there will surely be closures and detours, but you are built to endure and overcome these minor setbacks and obstacles. This is what makes the trip beautiful and a blessing if you do not become stagnated in a “victim mentality” and “Why Me” mindset. These experiences will ultimately become profound lesson plans that you carry with you and provide a wisdom blueprint towards mastering the art of living.

If you take time when adversity becomes present to truly reflect and not just react off emotions, you will be able to more clearly reexamine who you are…who you want to be, while releasing any negative sources, people, places and habits that are not adding positive energy and value into your transformation.

While the past is gone and the future is yet to come, what is guaranteed is this present moment. As you experience life’s abundance, you must remind yourself to venture back to the NOW.

I challenge you to embrace and celebrate all of who you are, because it has always been powerful beyond measure and more than enough. As you let your own light and love shine, you will unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

You are Loved…You are Appreciated… and You Matter!

Love Always,

Your Truth Conscience
