A Short Introduction to Synergy Engine

AI is reshaping the way we access information, helping us to get answers quicker and easier. However, there are two concerning aspects of the current situation:

  1. It is difficult to know when the AI is giving us correct information, or just “hallucinating” something that looks correct.
  2. A handful of companies have scraped the internet of data that was made by all of us, and are now selling it back to us.
AI is quickly becoming the interface to interact with and access information

What if we could build a system that could leverage the power of AI, but ensure that the results are trustworthy? And what if everyone participating in sharing data could get rewarded?

With the Synergy Engine, we’re not just searching; we’re intelligently requesting and rewarding.

ADAM Layer

Synergy Engine allows you to distribute complex queries to other users and groups and incentivises them to process your request. This is built on-top of our core innovation — the ADAM Layer — where every user is represented by a node. This tech-agnostic overlay weaves together diverse protocols, from Holochain to blockchains and beyond. Here, large language models are run locally, putting users in control and seamlessly integrating their data across various networks and apps.

Synergy Engine

Complementing ADAM, the Synergy Engine addresses a core challenge within decentralised networks — the discovery and validation of information. It’s an innovative extension that revolutionises how we seek and exchange knowledge in a fully distributed network.

Imagine seeking “good rave events in Bristol”. ADAM’s local LLM translates this into Prolog code, creating a graph of relationships between pieces of data. Unlike standard AI, Prolog brings objective understanding and allows us to shift from information being pushed onto us, to pulling precisely what we need.

Your query journeys through a network of friends — trusted indexers or other agents. Each agent searches their data, using ADAM’s local LLMs and their network access. As queries pass through the network each step is recorded, creating a chain of trust showing the query’s journey.

Synergy Fuel

You might wonder why would agents engage with requests outside their usual apps or networks? We’ve designed Synergy Fuel to incentivise the sharing of specific data with those who are seeking it.

When crafting queries, you can assign a Synergy Fuel reward, locked in a vault, tied to your request.

A query can be locked with a reward

This incentivises a collaborative effort to resolve queries. Agents with the needed information are motivated to share and publish, unlocking the rewards. Prolog’s logic ensures that only data matching the query’s criteria can unlock the vault.

The only way to unlock the reward is to provide data that matches the query specification

The path that the query travelled through users in the network, is something we call the Social Stack. This will be included in this validation, enabling the definition of constraints over the agents involved. This mechanism also distributes parts of the reward to agents in the Social Stack who relayed the query, thereby guaranteeing fair compensation for their integral role in the information chain.

By unlocking these vaults agents create cryptographic proof, which the Synergy Fuel’s validation rules use to grant credit. This process aligns the currency’s supply with the network’s collective intelligence capacity.

Thus, Synergy Fuel becomes more than currency; it’s a measure of the network’s power to fulfil intelligence requests, creating a stable value system based on shared knowledge and collective intelligence.
