Airvantis and Garatéa are the newest institutional partners of COBRUF Association in the promotion of COBRUF Aerospace Competitions. An executive from Airvants startup will evaluate the team’s business skills and their projects potential to NewSpace. Preliminary analysis for a joint COBRUF Aerospace Competition to select an university cubesat to be sent to the International Space Station through Garatea in the near future are under way. The alliance is an important joint step in democratizing student access to the new commercial space race and real space missions.

“I trully believe in the potential of COBRUF to seed the space culture within Brazilian students. I’ve been supporting COBRUF activities for years and now I’m honored to develop an official partnership with my endeavors.” — highlights Lucas Fonseca, CEO of Airvantis and Mission Director of Garatéa

The COBRUF Aerospace Competitions (CACs) are the world’s most advanced and ambitious ecosystem of space exploration educational competitions and aim to democratize the access of students from Brazil and the world to peaceful space exploration and the Right to Fly Higher. The competition ecosystem receives teams in the areas of experimental sounding rockets, planetary space suits, deep space cubesats, rovers and drones for Mars exploration and AUVs for Ocean Worlds exploration.

In addition to the educational nature, COBRUF competitions also encourage the development of dual technologies and innovative solutions to the main challenges of the international space industry. CACs were specifically designed to generate highly qualified human resources for the Brazilian and international technology industry, new business solutions and future NewSpace startups.

“Airvantis and Garatéa are extremely competent initiatives that share COBRUF’s goal and determination to democratize access to peaceful space exploration. This partnership will join our unique expertises and enable a great step in creating new extraordinary opportunities to advance STEAM education and NewSpace industry." — emphasizes Emersson Nascimento, CEO of COBRUF Association.
