What You Missed at the 2019 Bushwick Collective Block Party

A lot went down at this year’s Bushwick Collective Block Party. On June 1st, around ten thousand people passed through Troutman Street to celebrate the beginning of summer, street art, music, food and community.

In the spirit of welcoming the summer, we built a Nooklyn Beach House where there was a sandbox for kids to play in, swings (because why not?), and fresh coconuts were sold. All profits from the coconuts were donated to WIN (Women In Need), an organization that helps homeless women and children in NYC rebuild their lives.

This year’s main act was Rick Ross and, as expected, the crowd pretty much lost it when he performed Hustlin’. Tons of local businesses and artists were selling their arts & crafts, food and apparel. Bottom line is, a good time was had and we’re already looking forward to next year’s block party.

Below are some highlights from the event. All photos were taken by Nooklyn photographer, Chris Setter.

A disco ball, a bike giveaway, coconuts, swings and a tiki bar = not too sure, but we’re here for it.
