Getting kids coding in Cairns!

If you work with kids, there is nothing like the feeling of teaching kids the joy of digital tech!

And it’s even better when they can keep coding after I’ve left!

A couple weeks ago I was lucky enough to head up to Cairns with Telstra Regional Engagement Team and spend the afternoon with these awesome kids who are part of the Clontarf Program at Yarabah School!

We taught them some Scratch coding, and then got their afternoon tea to make music using a Makey Makey!

The best part of the story is that I heard from their teacher today, and they ask every day if they can keep coding! The spark of tech has really got to them!
