Teachers and Code Club leaders across the country are wrapping up their year with a celebration of all things coding! It’s Hour of Code 2019!

Here’s our wrap of some awesome Hour of Code adventures to end the year on a coding high!

And don’t forget to download our awesome Code Club Hour of Code certificate here!

Christmas Jumpers

It may not be jumper season here in Australia, but this Scratch game is still a bunch of fun to make! Test your memory skills (and your coding skills) to build a game involving Jazzy Jumpers!

Check it out here.

AI and Minecraft

Is your classroom one of the many that uses Minecraft to learn to code? Don’t miss out on this great lesson that combines AI and Minecraft with a lesson about the environment! Plus, you don’t need a paid subscription, you can use the login-free demo.
The lesson introduces the basics of AI, and AI biases, while students create code to prevent forest fires. It’s especially relevant for any of our Code Clubs on the east coast who are witnessing local bushfires too.

Check it out here.

Bzzzz… Mosquito!

It’s summer, and you know what that means! Make this game to protect people from malaria using Scratch!

Check it out here.

Christmas Carols for all!

Use your coding skills to code the carol Twelve Days of Christmas with Sonic Pi! A great way to play music at your end of year concert — you can even live code with Sonic Pi! (Check out creator Sam Aaron in action here)

Check out the project here

Stay cool (and safe) this summer. Happy Hour of Code!
