A review of why we opt for Amazon Web Services

When you hear ‘Amazon’, you’re not wrong to immediately think ‘online retail’. A one-stop-shop where you can buy everything from a Nicolas Cage pillowcase to a pint of milk in under two hours. But there’s so much more. It’s gone beyond the humble beginning as an online book shop. Now, it’s a multinational technology company focusing in e-commerce, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence, and AWS is at the heart of it.

Simply, we think there’s nothing Amazon won’t eventually be able to offer. They are the giants of innovation and diversification.

We have been monitoring AWS almost since they started, and they outperform all. They are also very cost-effective for the quality of service, and the more they deliver as a service, the lower our maintenance fees become. They are a lot cheaper than Azure and simultaneously much more mature.

AWS can roll out databases, content delivery networks and data warehouse services whilst continually upgrading its products. It is consistently growing at a rate of billions of dollars, consistently taking on more and bigger deals; so they’re able to use that to enrich their features; outstripping competitors at breakneck speed. It has matured to the point where it’s trusted by companies of varying sizes, with commitments typically being in multi-year.

Did you know that 27% of cloud infrastructure as a service of market share belongs to AWS Cloud? 10% belongs to Microsoft and 7% to IBM.
