Introducing the 2018 Code for Canada Fellowship
As a Code for Canada fellow, you’ll work inside government to build the 21st century digital services that residents expect — and deserve.
Today, Code for Canada is excited to launch recruitment for our second fellowship cohort. We’re looking for web developers, UX designers and product managers who want to use their skills for good, and help governments deliver on the promise of digital.
Code for Canada fellows spend 10 months embedded inside government, where they work alongside staff to build 21st century digital services.
Services that help people. Services that make it easy for residents to engage with government. Services that put users first. And services that demonstrate what’s possible when government embraces methods like agile development, iteration and human-centred design.
Start your fellowship journey today at codefor.ca/apply. We’re accepting applications until July 2, 2018 at 9 p.m. EDT.
The 2018 Code for Canada fellows will get to tackle one of three unique challenges: two with the federal government in Ottawa, and one with our first municipal fellowship partner, the City of Toronto.
- Fellows at the Public Service Commission of Canada will help deliver a more modern, inclusive, accessible and user-centred experience for Canadians applying for jobs in the federal public service.
- Fellows at Transport Canada will conduct user research with drone pilots, and prototype digital tools to help them fly safely and in accordance with new regulations.
- Fellows at City of Toronto Transportation Services will contribute to Toronto’s Vision Zero road safety plan by prototyping innovative data products that better engage residents and key stakeholders.
If you want to use your technology and design skills for positive impact, tackle a complex challenge, and improve the way government works from the inside-out, then apply to become a Code for Canada fellow today.
