Meha has worked extensively on fellowship programs around the world, including collaborations with the New York City Department of Education and Teach for Pakistan.

We’re excited to start off 2019 by welcoming the newest member of the Code for Canada team: Meha Shah!

As Fellowship Program Lead, Meha will be overseeing multiple aspects of our fellowship program, including managing partnerships with government hosts and recruiting fellows for the program, starting with the upcoming 2019 cohort.

You can follow Meha on LinkedIn.

Meha has eight years of experience working on fellowship programs in the education and nonprofit space, focused on bringing diverse talent to schools that need them most and ensuring that students have access to a high-quality education. She previously worked at TNTP, collaborating with the New York City Department of Education on their Teaching Fellows program. Prior to that, she worked with Teach for Pakistan.

Meha also holds a MSc in Social Policy and Development from the London School of Economics and a BA in Economics from Queen’s University.

She is extremely interested in thinking about how strong systems can increase efficiencies and is very excited about the potential for technology to improve outcomes.

“I’m really excited to bring my experience with fellowship programs to the civic tech space,” Meha says. “I’m a big believer in solving challenges and working with government for public good.”
