✏️ Code for San Jose Updates

Code for San Jose received a very generous donation from the Center for Employment Immigration & Citizenship Program in gratitude for Project E-Immigrate’s work on the Citizenship & Immigration Information Tool. E-Immigrate has enabled over 1,000 Bay Area residents to apply for Immigration Assistance. We would like to express our endless appreciation for the CET-ICP team for being fabulous partners and providing us opportunities to do great work in the community.

🍁 Leadership Changes

We welcome our new teammate: Abha: Assistant Director of Project Management, Tony: Finance Manager, Rishabh: Assistant Director of Event Management, Sulakshana: Assistant Director of Project Management

Open position: Director of Fundraising, Director of Recruitment, Assistant Director of Backend Engineering,, Grant Writer, and Marketing Coordinator are available.

🎉 Code for San José Project Highlights

  • Project OpenStreetMap completed Phase 1 of the San Jose building import and completed 31% of the high priority tasks in the county point of interest import. The team began Phase 2 of the import. Amazing work!
  • Project CFSJ Website created the first iteration of a high fidelity mockup for the CFSJ website. The team is working on a minimalistic style guide with colors and fonts.
  • Project City Agenda Scraper implemented Google Drive upload functionality.
  • Project Renters Rights started building a user story for the application.
