🌟Giving Tuesday

Our team has been working hard to create change and solve civic issues in our community. We are so grateful for our volunteers and partners who have contributed to pushing our mission forward.

In the last year alone we have helped community members find immigration assistance with our partner CET-ICP, understand public property development with our partner Catalyze SV, and navigate local election finances through the Open Disclosure website. As part of the global OpenStreetMap community, we put thousands of businesses on the map, including many small businesses in undermapped neighborhoods.

Since 2014, Code for San Jose has been hosting civic action nights, enabling volunteers to develop their skills and transition into new roles, and working on various projects, including producing design audits for the City of San Jose and healthcare.gov and providing more accurate information on local public spaces in the South Bay community.

Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving on the last day of November, and we’re humbly asking for your support. We greatly appreciate your help so we can continue our work.
