As I go with my company (CodeRocket.co) with strategy of supporting freelancers and other programmers, I just launched a new project called CwSpots.com.

It is a website where everyone can put his favorite home-office or coworking public spot and search for such spots in his neighborhood.

I’m working from home a lot and I like getting out from time to time and work from some café or a good restaurant. I guess each freelancer or a person working on home-office is from time to time willing to do the same.
Some nice café or beer garden can be refreshing and inspiring after some time working from home. But my struggle was how to find a right place? I don’t want to visit same few spots over and over again?

Everyone has it’s favorite one or two — let’s share them with others! And this web is exactly about it.

Each spot (I call each such place suitable for freelance working as a spot) can be marked whether there is a Wi-Fi signal, how good is it, whether you can print there, buy a drink or get a meal there.
You will also see if the spot is suitable for making calls (f.e. a library is obviously not).

I’m writing it on Ruby on Rails (if someone is interested) using Google Maps.

Now I have launched a landing page with detail informations:

CwSpots.com lading page

If you are a freelancer or are you interested in freelance work, please share this and spread the word.

I’m now in the phase of designing the product, so more freelancers I’ll talk to the better product will be. And as each project, I need a good starting audience subscribed. Thank you
