A journey of learning something will always give you the reason to learn more. Regardless of what kind of experience you would have to go through, there is always a lesson to be learned from it.

The journey of Code Like Her fellowship organized by Code Rush has a great impact on my life. For a beginner like me, who had a little knowledge of web development, it is really an immense opportunity for the vast scope of quality web development. From the design thinking process to developing a whole web application, the three months were really productive three months. Additionally, I have earned a lot of friends who have supported me during need.

In the last week of our fellowship, everyone was busy with their final project. We were divided into three distinct groups under the supervision of our three mentors. We were asked to develop a full-stack website applying the knowledge of React Js, Node Js, Database, Html, and CSS. We were given two weeks of time to complete the project.

As a part of my final project, I decided to work on a quote app that displays inspirational quotes and short poems written by famous authors. It is a simple web application built with React Js and Node Js express for frontend and backend respectively. Similarly, PostgresSQL and DataGrip were used to build the database for the project. This app will display the quotes in a card with the title, quotes, author, and a like button. Users can scroll down to see more of posts in the app.

A small part of my project

Like every other project week, we were excited as well as stressed about the project. Our mentors were always available to guide us throughout our journey. We used Trello to breakdown the tasks allocated and we used to update the daily progress on Trello. We researched the possible solution to debug all the problems we faced. We had regular sync up a meeting and we were on the frequent conversion to maintain our momentum while completing our project.

After the submission of our project, we had a presentation that lasted for two days. We were given 20 minutes each to demonstrate the project followed by Question and Answer. We were also given feedback and suggestions based on the project. I am really happy with the feedback received.

After the submission of our project, we had a presentation for two days. Each one of us had to present our work in front of all the mentors. We were asked to explain our product and had a Q/A session. Also, they gave us some important feedback on how we can improve our work in term of web development. We were really happy to hear from them. Being part of this fellowship, we were given a chance to enhance our knowledge of website application design and development. If I look back to compare my knowledge, I can guarantee I have learned so much from this fellowship and my mentors.

I and all my fellow friends are very thankful to our Mentor and Code Rush for providing us wonderful opportunities provided by Code Rush. These three months of the journey has been a great learning opportunity

We all fellows are really thankful to our mentors and Code Rush for providing us this great learning opportunity and cooperating with us all regardless of our mistakes.
