We are starting to spotlight fantastic teams that are part of our Catalyst LaunchPad program at CODE this summer!

CODE student Christopher Röskes and WHU graduate Marcus Daftari have helped their clients by converting their analog business into a digital one. This is how LokalFrisch was born.

LokalFrisch builds online shops, accompanies, and advises their clients during the phase of restructuring with their expertise in digital product build, marketing, and customer service. They enable local businesses to strive in the 21st century by providing the necessary digital infrastructure.

Let’s take a look at how LokalFrisch has helped one of their first clients.

The local B2B merchant Weitz Frischdienst GmbH from Duisburg had a revenue loss of 80% due to the Corona Crisis. Weitz Frischdienst asked LokalFrisch to restructure their business model and shift from B2B to B2C. As a result, LokalFrisch set up an online shop and accompanied the local merchant to restructure their internal processes accordingly. In the first four weeks, Weitz has served over 600 households with fresh fruits and vegetables in Düsseldorf and Duisburg.

What are LokalFrisch’s next steps?

Over the summer, the Lokalfrisch team will continue to develop its company as a part of the LaunchPad program at CODE.

They will pursue to build online shops and optimize its performance (sales) and branding. Moreover, LokalFrisch will accompany and advise clients during the digital transformation of their companies.

If you are eager to hear more from LokalFrisch, feel free to reach out to Christopher and Marcus.
