Great news! MySoftwareScout, a student project from CODE, joined the APX startup accelerator, a joint venture between Axel Springer and Porsche, and an early-stage investor with a tailor made program in Berlin.

When we say that our students work on a real-life projects here at CODE, this is not just a marketing strategy — we really mean it. We treat ideas from our students seriously, and we have reason to be so proud when the students’ ideas manifest themselves into something successful, real, and effective. The most recent example is a story about MySoftwareScout becoming a startup.

MySoftwareScout was founded by four CODE students, Jonas Südfels, Lukas Kneip, Harry Trippel, and Stefan Quernhorst, with a simple mission: to help small and medium-sized companies to use the advantage of digitization by helping them to select a fitting software vendor.

“Currently, we know that the process of finding the perfect software is very time-consuming for companies since the number of vendors can easily go into the hundreds per category. Through our customer-centric approach, we make the software search faster and more enjoyable,” says the MySoftwareScout team. That way, they help the companies with a simple requirements analysis to better understand their needs, which will finally result in finding the right software solution. The digital service is free.

MySoftwareScout pitch @ APX

So far, they are on the road to success. The APX startup accelerator is just warming up, but great news keeps popping up. A well-known business angel and a former CEO of Telekom innovation and Detecon international, professor Dr. Heinrich Arnold, wants to invest in them.

These determined CODE students said that CODE professors, lecturers, and mentors played a significant role with advice and valuable introductions to venture capital. They are also harnessing the potential of the CODE community as a whole, getting advice from other CODE students that were part of the APX accelerator in the past.
