In the lecture this week we went through a lot of history. Unlike when we usually learn history in a subject, this was actually pretty interesting. Even hearing names from other courses was surprising and unexpected. While it was a lot to take in and I probably don’t remember any of the names now, the progress of technology is still relatively easy to recall and helped to gain a holistic understanding of this course and how the future may turn out (hopefully with our name apart of the lecture!).

The lab this week consisted of two main features: the guest speaker and Holy Wars. The guest speaker gave some insights to the future of our where our degree can take us and how we have to be adaptable to new software and technologies that get released in order to stay relevant in the industry. He also went through the different level of abstraction when creating a project from Rhino to Grasshopper to Python, etc and how this related to other software like Revit.

Holy Wars! I was pretty happy with the end result of my presentation even if I made a few mistakes here and there. The most valuable part of this presentation however was witnessing how others presented their ideas and how some strategies worked better than others. Hopefully from witnessing this, I can adapt future presentations to become even better.

After a strenuous 5 weeks of working non-stop in this degree we finally get a bit of a break. Since there wasn’t anything to do, having completed the tasks we were told to catch up on, I decided to update some of my older blog posts with some things I forgot to add.

Other than that … I did absolutely nothing :)
