2019 seems to be the year of Google’s mobile UI framework for developing high-quality apps on iOS and Android. Who imagined possible to grow apps for both platforms in a beautifully, easy to maintain, with a single base code, in a very quick way? They did and delivered us this treasure named Flutter.

During my progress through the learning curve of this framework, I decided to publish an extensive series reviewing the most commonly used widgets. This series is aimed at beginners who need extra help in understanding the Dart language and Flutter’s framework, but it is also useful to any programmer who wants a quick look at how to customize the widget.

Each post will start describing the widget, its general purpose, its benefits and how to start using it. Later, we will discuss the most important properties to customize it. And finally, we will end the article with some examples with its code to help you visualize common uses.
