Hi everyone,

long time, no see, no time, no write, me lazy — you know the drill. 😉 But I’ve got big a anouncement! No, the book is not out (although that really shouldn’t take much longer), it’s something else: live streams!

For quite some time now I wanted to live-stream coding sessions. You know, experimenting with new Java features, coding JUnit 5 extensions, or hacking on some JavaScript, Kotlin, etc. — but live on camera with you around instead of bored and alone, picking my nose in my office. I’ve recently watched a few gamers on Twitch and it totally gripped me. Eventually, the urge to give it a try overwhelmed me and so I, last Friday, I went live at https://twitch.tv/nipafx

I also uploaded the video to YouTube:

This was driven by passion, not reason. I’m still in Vietnam (forgot to tell you about that; will do so next week) with bad internet connection and +7 hours to UTC, have only a shitty headset and integrated webcam. This wasn’t high high quality, but it was plenty of fun and I hope you join me next time!

so long … Nicolai
