CodeFX Weekly #44–18th of November 2017

Hi everyone,

video hates me. I spent almost three days, recording, cutting, rendering, and uploading my third YouTube video. It’s about var in Java 10:

I also created a demo project and wrote a blog post about that and so far neither is doing well. Maybe I shouldn’t have published them all at the same time…

Anyways, so much work with little apparent effect sufficiently demotivated me to not do much other work and instead binge on stupid videos. I also started playing This War Of Mine again to try out the more story-like DLC. …

CodeFX Weekly #35 — 16th of September 2017

Hi everyone,

I’ve been traveling this week, first to Java Forum Nord in Hanover, then to JavaZone in Oslo. Java Forum is quite nice but JavaZone truly rocks! It takes place in Olso Spektrum, an indoor arena for up to 11.000 people.

During the conference, rooms below the stands house the talks and everything else — sponsors, food, games, hangout — is located in the central area. That’s a great setup to take in the entire conference, meet loads of interesting people, and never miss anything. …
