Intro to Python October Updates

Happy November! Here’s a summary of the changes we made to the Intro to Python course in October.

Teacher-facing materials for the following modules have been updated in October:

  • Unit 6: Functions & Exceptions
  • Unit 7: Strings
  • Unit 8: Creating and Altering Data Structures

You should see fully developed lesson plans (complete with beginning and end-of-class discussion questions and timestamps) as well as new handouts and offline activities.

New Handouts

We’ve added the following new handouts to the course:

Errors in Python Handout (Lesson 6.5)
  • Specifying Variables(Lesson 6.2)
  • Errors in Python(Lesson 6.5)

Updated Lesson Plans

You’ll find fully updated lesson plans for modules 6–8. In particular, note the updates to the Teaching and Learning Strategies and Discussion Questions sections.
