A few weeks back I talked about the different kinds of Product Managers we have in the corporate industry. So in this post, I thought to talk in-depth about one such type of Product Manager: Product Data Manager.
Who is a Product Data Manager?
The data product manager (DPM) may be skilled in machine learning, data science, or data programming languages and so their role may largely leverage those skills as part of product development. DPM is primarily responsible for finding ways to use data throughout the product lifecycle.
According to Udacity: “the primary function of a data product manager is to balance the strategy, governance, and implementation of anything data-related, and facilitate the conversations between all impacted stakeholders — executives, engineers, analysts, other product teams, and external customers — who consume the data.”
