Introduction

Hello Readers!

This series of apps we will be looking at this time around are more work/productivity related. I recently switched jobs and have been focused on finding apps that can assist in some of the different areas my flow needs help. Let’s get started!

Parallels

Price: Free Trial (39.99 for Student Edition / 79.99 for Standard Version)

Parallels VM Launch Screen

I’ve used Windows-based machines for a lot longer than I have Macs, but even not being around the ecosystem, I had still heard about Parallels. Parallels let a Mac user create virtual machines to run other operating systems on their Mac.

Virtualization is really cool.

Recently, I wanted to try out Windows 11, but aside from my work computer, I had nowhere to install it.

Enter Parallels.

Parallels let me install a working Windows 10 virtual machine that I was then able to upgrade to Windows 11, all from the comfort of my Mac.
