IBM just announced a hiring freeze and also a lot of Jobs could be replaced by AI thanks to services like ChatGPT & Co. It seems that also other companies will be affected the same way.

The company’s management expects to be able to replace around 7800 jobs with the use of AI systems in the coming years. Because of this, they want to impose a hiring freeze in various areas of activity now in order to not get into the situation of having to lay off employees again. This was reported by the US news agency Bloomberg with reference to IBM CEO Arvind Krishna[1][2].

Even before the huge success of ChatBots like ChatGPT from OpenAI and Microsoft, there were big waves of automation in the enterprise. Trend topics here were already the Cloud, automation of processes and SaaS services that facilitate work and operation.
