How OpenAI can become one of the most valuable US Startups

OpenAI is in talks about selling shares as part of a takeover bid, according to the Wall Street Journal. In the process, the company is valued at around 29 billion US$. OpenAI is the driving force behind the recently viral chatbot ChatGPT and the image generator Dall-E [1][2].

One of the biggest investors is Microsoft, which has invested 1 billion US$ in the company [1]. Here, I had also recently shared an article that this investment could pay off really well and Microsoft is hoping to end Google’s domination of the search engine market.

Last month it was reported that OpenAI expects 200 million US$ in revenue this year and 1 billion US$ in annual revenue by 2024, and was last valued at 20 billion US$ [2].

The sums mentioned here are truly crazy, but also an argument for how promising and disruptive this technology can be. Without singing too much panic and praise songs, however, it must be acknowledged that this AI-based…
