Now that the majority of companies populating the grand game of software engineering have finally woken up to the fact that progressive engineers are both happier and more productive¹ when working remotely, the world has become (at least in terms of working for a living) a slightly better place.
Unfortunately as with all such worthwhile progress that puts managements’ collective noses somewhat out of joint, as they’re unable to personally surveil as many employees as they used to and therefore have even less to do, come some unexpected and frankly surprisingly new hurdles to overcome on the way to programming nirvana².
Messaging for Dummies
Many of those revolve around the ‘new paradigm’ that management has to adjust to in terms of using messaging, video conferencing, and even basic communication tools effectively.
