Hyperloop One is a company based in Los Angeles focused on building the first Hyperloop system. If you’ve never heard of a Hyperloop before, it’s an Elon Musk concept that proposes using tubes to move pods at speeds of up to 700 miles per hour.
The system would use smaller pods than regular trains, reduce atmospheric pressure inside each tube and travel through depressions in the ground rather than along rail tracks. Hyperloop One’s goal is to build a fully operational Hyperloop system by 2021.
That means they will test the technology and work with partners worldwide to make it happen.
