It is impossible to say unequivocally what made some people successful. Many times, success is a mixture of several ingredients — motivation, persistence, a bit of luck, a dose of courage and productive habits that make them successful in front of the competition and keep moving forward.

What habits are we talking about? These are almost daily activities that are common to most successful people. Let’s take a look at them:

They meditate

Maybe you didn’t know that hedge manager and billionaire Ray Dalio, billionaire Oprah Winfrey or Arianna Huffington devote themselves to meditation.
As Dalio once declared, meditation contributed more to his success than anything else. And no wonder. Thanks to meditation, not only your body will relax, but also your mind. Meditation helps relieve stress or anxiety, strengthens memory and also improves concentration.

They get up early in the morning

Many a successful person is the so-called an early bird. While others only dream of success, they are up before six, handling e-mail, writing to employees, or absorbing new information from the morning news. Such people include e.g. CEO of Apple Tim Cook, entrepreneur Richard Branson or Twitter founder Jack Dorsey.

They prefer to read instead of TV

Thomas Corley, author of the book “Rich Habits — The Daily Success Habits of Wealthy Individuals” found that almost 70% of the wealthy watch an hour or less of television a day. In addition, only 6% of them watch reality shows. For the poor, this figure is up to 78%.
Those who are successful on television will prefer professional books, personal development books or educational podcasts.

At night, they write a to-do letter

You can’t do it without a to-do list. Our minds were designed to create ideas, not to store them.
Successful people keep their to-do list at night and write down all the priorities that await them the next day. Their list is sorted by priority and highlights the most important tasks. Don’t forget that a well-written to-do list is your helper and also your “memory”.

They oversee their finances

Many successful people are at the top precisely because they are in control of their money. They keep a budget and know exactly where their every euro is going.
These people have understood that it is important to let money work for you and not work for money. And for money to work for them, they have to have some money, so they avoid unnecessary expenses and try to save 10 to 20% of their income.
