Introducing FigmaBalls — A CLI tool for Figma.

Figma is a great design tool, but a lot of time is wasted by thinking “figma balls!” every time someone uses the word “Figma” as if delivering a pun akin to the classic “ligma” joke.

That’s why we created FigmaBalls — a CLI tool that deliberately includes the joke so you can get it out of your system and start designing.

Just run npm install -g figmaballs.

Once installed, simply type figmaballs into your terminal and watch as the magic happens.

The optional flag --haha got em will include an extra “haha got em” for those who just can’t help themselves.

How did we come up with the app idea?

I accepted a summer internship in a Tijuana startup. At first I was like “no way Jose”, but life has a way of making you come around.

My former life was missing out on many things: The constant flow of cheap tequila, the Mexican food that’s actually good, the weather, the women. I was in love.

But there was one thing that I couldn’t get used to: The designers talking about Figma.

“Esta es mi Figma.” “No, es mi Figma.” “No, es mi Figma.”
