Apple is working on a major new redesign for the MacBook Air, with a multitude of colours resembling the iMac (2021), a thick notch in the top centre of the screen to decrease bezel thickness and a white makeover over the notch and bezels it surely going to a sight for sore eyes.

Notch
John Prosser (73.9% Accurate), who was first to report on the redesign of the Macbook air changed his render of the machine to include a Notch after validating his info with DylanDKT (77.5% Accurate).

Why Apple may be doing this you ask, well I believe that it is to shrink the bezels around the rest of the screen just like they did with the 14”-inch and 16”-inch Macbook pro.
Charging
Apple will also include their long-favoured magnetic Magsafe charging port on the side of the machine and will come with a 30w adaptor, now don’t worry, you can still charge with Type-C but the ports will resign on a flat surface, no wedge.
Webcam upgrade!
DylanDKT also said we should expect a 1080p webcam like the one’s in 14”-inch and 16”-inch Macbook pro which on paper is a huge win when you take it for face value, but as seen in the 14”-inch and 16”-inch Macbook pro, the camera kink of “Beautify” your face and give your completion a lighter tone.
Name
Apple’s name for their machine sounds like a lot of “Hot Air” at this point, I mean just look at it, the name was originally used to describe how light the computer was but as the rest of Apple’s line-up shreds of some pounds, the name changed its meaning to a cheaper alternative to the rest of the mac’s.
But since the release of the Ipad air ( 4th generation ), which is significantly more expensive than the baseline Ipad, the name just doesn’t make any sense anymore.
What is the new name maybe you ask? Well, that’s tough to say right now but the word on the street is that Apple is going to strip the “air” out of the name and call it only Macbook.
