Unit Tests using JUnit and Mockito

I’m a Quality Assurance Engineer and, I grew up professionally listening about unit tests and that those were the ones performed by the developers and not by the testers. But, what about if I want to learn how to create them so that I can better understand what we are doing inside my project and if we are correctly doing them and with good coverage?
