Another day, another story about how Microsoft is determined to make Windows worse. This time it’s Microsoft forcing ads into the file explorer.
The file explorer! One of the most core parts of Windows. Is nothing sacred?
It does not appear to be the full ads that you see on the start menu, only prompts to install Microsoft apps, but still. Why is Microsoft so insistent on making their product worse?
You know I saw a comment the other day on my article about the problem with open source.
Which was something like, “Then why is Windows so bad.” And obviously I didn’t respond because the article is about open source, its not about Windows. But then I was like, “Why is Windows so bad?”
