It’s finally 2019. So many things happened within the last four months of building Coding Coach and I could not be more thrilled for what’s coming down the pipeline in 2019.

This will be a bit of a shorter blog post (since we encouraged everyone to spend time with their families for the holidays), but I can assure you there is much more to come from Coding Coach in 2019!

2019 Roadmap

I’ve put together a 2019 Roadmap to ensure we stay on track. We’re currently in the process of developing the Sign In / Sign up and Dashboard flows. I’ll be creating quite a few more GitHub epics and issues soon.

You can read the roadmap here.

Dashboard Designs

Since we last talked, the dashboard designs have been released! I wanted something clean and modern that looked good on both mobile and desktop. In order to get inspiration, I headed over to Dribbble to see what other designers were working on.

Additionally, I signed up for an account on Flaticon. We’re going to be needing some awesome icons, and they had just what I was looking for.

Next step will be designing the mentor & mentee profiles.

Patreon

In order to offset some of the costs I’m personally incurring, I’ve set up a Coding Coach Patreon account. If you’d like to help support us, we’d be extremely appreciative! Paying for logos, icons, and hosting adds up, and we would love to keep Coding Coach free!

Slack

Our Slack organization took in over 1,200 members! How exciting! It’s absolutely mind blowing to see how many wonderful people from the community are interested in lending a hand.

GitHub

We now have over 200 stars on GitHub. It’s so cool to see your ideas come to life!

Twitter

We gained over 4,000 followers in the last four months. I’m looking forward to seeing what 2019 has in store for us!

Make sure to follow us on Twitter for the latest Coding Coach updates. Additionally, you can subscribe to our mailing list here to get updates sent to your inbox.

Happy new year!
