Sweetgrass and Moonlight

From dawn to dusk, we listen to the world.

Captured by creation, surrounded in a ribcage of green.

Sweetgrass and moonlight colour senses.

Reds and yellows form skies and fill seas.

I’m a visitor that hears voices.

From deep roots breaking through earth.

Stories of forced silence long forgotten.

Of the circle, of the cedar.

A forgotten nation reserved in nature.

First turned last like the seasons change.
