As an insomniac who struggles to juggle work, family, and a social life, I wish I could master the art of sleeping like a new chinstrap penguin parent standing guard over their pebbles and fuzzballs.
These tuxedoed birds have perfected the power nap, catching forty winks in four-second increments thousands of times a day.
Just imagine — being able to sleep at a moment’s notice could revolutionize my productivity. I’d take micro catnaps during my work Zoom calls. They’d never know! Or even a quick snooze at a red light. I’d be asleep one second, then completely awake the next!
My inner penguin would be on high alert, ready to peck at the next task while stealthily snoozing whenever there’s a lull in action. The possibilities are endless! I could sail through the boring parts of the day, while springing to attention for the good stuff.
Talk about getting the best of both worlds.
Would anyone even notice if I mastered the subtle art of standing sleep? My trusty penguin superpower would be my little secret weapon. I’d keep my eyes open just enough to avoid toppling…
