6 signs you might be a stressed out Mom

  1. When you begin early in the day, and you have no clue where the day went and what comes next. As a mom, I can’t tell you how many times I work so hard to get things accomplished only to realize that only 2 out of the 5 things have been done.

2. After all the chores in the house are done, and you are finally done with lunch, and you realize you still have to work on dinner. You realize you want to nap, but the laundry is still going. I am so tired after this time. Especially since I also work as an ESL Tutor and trying to find a balance can be quite tricky at times.

3. When the children are not listening to you, and you have yet to finish the household chores, not to mention your own work on the computer. You feel like you are losing your mind and all you want to do is crawl into bed. Not much more to say on this one except feeling like crying out your own tantrum.

4. For some new mothers it could be feeding the baby and finding out the food is all over your clothes and face and you have yet to take a shower. I can’t tell you how many times I had this happen. This makes you question where are you when it comes to being stressed.

5. Also when you go to the grocery store and the kids all want to crowd around you, and you can barely move. I can’t tell you how many times my kids would be blocking the grocery cart or right beside me holding onto me especially when they were toddler and carry your groceries.

6. My favorite is when someone asks what my occupation is… I always think in my mind “What do you mean what occupation? I do it all.” There is no one answer on this one. It just depends on the day.

As mothers, we do it all. We can’t focus on just one thing. Our days go by fast, and we always have so much to do and not enough time. I know I have been stressed before, but as my kids have gotten older, I realized that I need to make time to enjoy the memories because as stressful as it gets, children grow up fast. If you blink, you will miss it. Just remember to make time for yourself. It does not matter how busy it gets, take care of yourself. Whether through meditation, prayer, yoga or just sitting in a quiet space with your coffee or tea and doing something you love; always remember to take care of yourself or you will surely wear yourself out.
