Band-Aids and smoke.

Before you, Band-Aids covered the cracks and holes my heart once took.

Before you, I didn’t even try to smoke out the pain.

Before you, I just let my heart rust.

Band-Aids and smoke.

Before you, my heart was mere dust.

Before you, my heart lost its ability to light up and shine.

Now, my heart has a reason to stay forever aglow, all because of you.
