Dear Imposter

if I could say anything to you right now

I would say what the hell is wrong with you.

I’m not sure if I want to slap you across the face

Slide you a couple of my Xanax.

or give you nice warm blanket to curl up in

as you contemplate the meaning of your sad life.

Dear Imposter

I guess it would depend on the person you are at heart.

I have so many questions, for me as well as those,

who’s friendships I have come to cherish.

I read somewhere that it always rains on April 20th,

in a book that was written by a parent grieving the loss of his daughter

he believes the rain that maybe falls on Littleton every year.

Is God himself expressing sorrow for 14 children who never grew up.

Dear Imposter

Do you ever think about Do you ever think about

the woman you so blatantly claimed to be?

she will never hold her son again.

her son will only ever see 17 birthdays,

He will only get to see 17 Christmases,

did you think about that?

Dear Imposter

are you capable of human emotion.

Are you brave enough to answer me?
