Train Lines

I ride the Tokyo train line
Like how emotions circulate
My head and heart
Alone in the center
Of my loneliness

I don’t know my stop,
My aimless soul
Wanders for some purpose,
I sit in the crowded train car,
Watching the world pass.

We come to the end
Of the line…

We exit, the passengers and I
I wander down the street,
Like a vein in the city

And my chest aches
For some connection
Amongst these strangers.
